MOB Monitoring Workshops

Marcellus Outreach Butler (MOB), in partnership with the environmental groups Mountain Watershed Association, Group Against Smog and Pollution, and Clean Air Counsel, is committed to empower and assist citizens to take the steps necessary to protect their property, their health, their communities and the environment from impacts of Marcellus shale development. In the past, MOB and Mountain Watershed has offered Visual Assessment Training and the ALLARM Marcellus Water Monitoring Workshop; repeat trainings will be offered in the future and will be announced here.

Upcoming Water Quality Workshop - July 13, 2012

Location: Macoskey Center at Slippery Rock University, 246 Harmony Road, Slippery Rock
Time: 9AM - 3PM

Are you interested in preventing pollution from Marcellus shale activity in your community?  Attend the Monitoring Marcellus Training that Mountain Watershed Association (MWA) and the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM) will provide on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 9AM to 3PM in Butler County at the Macoskey Center at Slippery Rock University, 246 Harmony Road, Slippery Rock. This workshop will provide you with information on the science behind Marcellus shale, visual assessment, and water monitoring.  Water monitoring equipment will be made available to those interested.   This event is sponsored by Marcellus Outreach Butler.  Lunch will be provided.  You can register below or call Veronica at 724-455-4200 ext. 4#.
