PA Department of Environmental Protection eNotice

DEP's eNotice is an easy way to stay up-to-date with what is happening in your neighborhood. When you subscribe to eNotice, you can choose the counties or even municipalities you are interested in and the types of permits you want to track.

Creating an account is easy.

Click http://www.ahs2.dep.state.pa.us/eNoticeWeb/

Create a user. Confirm you user name and password. Log into the system and select the category of information you would like to receive. The Marcellus Shale Drilling Permits are found under the DEP Permit Applications category. Once you create an account, you will receive an email every day with up-to-date information about permits in the areas you selected.

SkyTruth Alerts

SkyTruth Alerts also provide free updates on permit, drilling, inspection, and violation activity in your area, but they do not arrive daily, only when there is new information.

To sign up, go to http://alerts.skytruth.org/, zoom into your area on the map (the closer you zoom, the narrower your area of alerts), and click "Subscribe" in the upper left-hand corner. Then enter your email address in the box.

Well Watch Reports

Well Watch is a service of MarcellusGas.org. These provide weekly summaries of all activities in the areas you choose.

To sign up, go to https://www.marcellusgas.org/well_watch/well_watch.php and click "Choose Your Township." You will be instructed to create a free guest membership. Create an account and then you will be able to choose which townships you want to monitor. Your updates will arrive weekly on Sunday mornings.
